Webb Eyecare operates this website (webbeyecare.com) and eye care clinics in Scottsbluff, Alliance and Bridgeport, Nebraska. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, including for text messages, who we share it with, and how to reach us. We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information. Effective September 28, 2026.
What we collect
Contact information you give us: your name, phone number (including your mobile number), email address and mailing address, when you book an appointment, fill out our patient forms, call or email a clinic, or order eyewear or contact lenses.
Insurance and billing details you provide so we can check your benefits and bill your plan.
Health information you provide on patient forms or during care. This is protected health information under HIPAA and is handled as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive at your first visit and can request from any clinic.
Website usage. This website does not ask for or store your medical information. It uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are viewed, roughly what region a visit comes from, device type, and when someone taps a booking button, a phone number, or a link to our frame boards or contact lens portal, along with which clinic that related to. Nothing about your health or the reason for your visit is ever sent to Google. Google Maps loads on our location pages only if you click to load it. A preferred clinic you choose on this site is stored only in your own browser.
How we use it
We use your information to schedule and provide care, check insurance benefits, bill for services, fill eyewear and contact lens orders, answer your questions, and run our clinics.
Text messages (SMS). If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, Webb Eyecare may text you about appointment confirmations, reminders and scheduling changes; when your glasses or contact lenses are ready; requests to review your visit; and, only if you separately agree to them, occasional promotions and events. Who we share it with
We share information only with companies that help us run the practice and care for you, and only so they can provide that service to us: our appointment scheduling system (4PatientCare), our patient communication and texting platform (Weave), our email and patient forms provider (Google Workspace), contact lens and eyewear suppliers and labs, and your insurance plan when we bill it. We also share information when the law requires it.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties for marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
How long we keep it, and how we protect it
We keep patient records for as long as Nebraska law and professional standards require, and other information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Patient records are kept in secured systems with access limited to staff who need it. Medical records are never stored on this website.
Children
We care for patients of all ages, and a parent or guardian provides and manages the information for patients under 18. This website is not designed to collect information from children.
Your choices
You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP. You can ask to update your contact information, change how we contact you, or request a copy of your records by calling or emailing your clinic.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
