What to bring with you.
- Your current glasses and/or contact lenses
- A list of medications, for eyes or otherwise
- Vision and medical insurance cards, if you have them
- Teacher notes or school concerns, for kids’ visits
- Sunglasses, in case your eyes are dilated
- Your questions, all of them
Not sure whether to bring something? Bring it. Our team will sort it out at the desk.
Insurance, financing, or neither.
We want you to understand costs before you decide. Our team reviews your benefits and payment options at your visit, and the details live on the insurance & payment page. The short version:
- Most vision and medical plans accepted, including VSP and EyeMed.
- Financing through CareCredit and Sunbit for qualifying purchases.
- No vision insurance? Our membership plan gives self-pay patients predictable exam pricing and eyewear savings, see the membership plan.
Things new patients usually ask.
How long will my first visit take?
Most new-patient exams run about 45–60 minutes, depending on testing and how many questions you bring. We would rather run long than rush you.
Will my eyes be dilated?
Sometimes, and your doctor will tell you before it happens rather than after. If they are, things stay bright and a little soft up close for a few hours, so bring sunglasses and think about whether you would rather someone else drove home. Ask when you book if you need to plan around it.
What about the intake forms?
Print the welcome form (PDF) and fill it out at home, or come 10–15 minutes early and the front desk will go through it with you. Bring a photo ID and your insurance card and it goes quickly.
Can I book my kids and myself together?
Yes. Many families schedule their visits back-to-back. Tell the front desk when you book and they will line it up.
Do you handle medical eye problems or just glasses?
Full-service: exams, glasses and contacts, plus dry eye care, myopia control, vision therapy, diabetic eye exams, glaucoma screening and more. See the specialty clinics.
Do I need insurance to be seen?
No. We see patients with vision insurance, with medical insurance, and with neither. If you have no vision plan there is a membership plan, and financing is available through CareCredit and Sunbit. The insurance & payment page covers all of it, and the front desk will tell you what a visit costs before you commit to anything.
What if I need to reschedule?
Call the office as soon as you know. The front desk will find you a new time, no lectures.
Ready when you are.
Whether you are booking for yourself or your whole crew, the team is ready to welcome you.
